Current Employment Opportunities

Supervisor, Support Services Program (Legal Center).

Provides direct supervision of Legal Center support staff who provide support to clients including court and social work staff.

A Bachelor’s Degree is required and a Master’s Degree in social work is strongly preferred with
a minimum of two (2) years supervisory experience is required, preferably in a social services, domestic violence setting. Some experience in the court system relating to domestic violence issues is strongly preferred. Bilingualism is also preferred.

The hours are primarily Monday – Friday daytime. Salary is commensurate with experience and we offer a comprehensive benefits package upon hire.

Court Advocate (Legal Center)

Provides direct services to victims of domestic violence in court and helps victims with safety planning.

A Bachelor’s Degree in human services or related field or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required.  Some experience in legal services and/or advocacy is required with experience as a paralegal and/or experience in working on domestic violence issues along with bilingualism strongly preferred.  Demonstrated ability to organize time and detail, including keeping of records, is preferred.

The salary for this position is $28,090 with a comprehensive benefits package available after 90 days.

Food Services Assistant (Relief) (Residential Services)

Plans, prepares, and serves all meals to clients and their children.  Coordinates in the purchase, rotation, inventory, and stock maintenance of food.  Maintains overall hygiene of the kitchen/food storage area in compliance with all regulatory laws regarding food handling and preparation.

A High School Diploma or the equivalent is required with at least 2 years experience in institutionalized (high yield) food preparation and storage.  A demonstrated knowledge of dietary menu preparation and state regulations for food preparation and storage is required.  Food preparation certification is preferred.

We provide services seven days a week.  Your hours will be on an as needed basis with no benefits and a salary of $11.13 an hour.

Crisis Intervention Counselor (Relief)

Responsible for answering hotline calls and providing information and referrals; crisis intervention; emergency shelter intake screening; providing supportive counseling to residential clients and assisting clients and other staff in establishing and maintaining a safe and supportive community environment.

An Associate’s degree or an equivalent combination of education and experience is required along with some crisis counseling experience.  Experience working with victims of domestic violence is preferred and proficiency in Spanish is strongly preferred.

We provide services on a twenty-four hour, seven days a week basis.  Your hours will be on an as needed basis with no benefits and a salary of $13.50 an hour.

Residential Advisor (Relief)

Provides general support of individual women and their children and general overall house monitoring.

A High School Diploma or the equivalent is required with at least one (1) year experience in an advocacy, crisis or shelter support position along with completion of the 45-hour Domestic Violence Training. Bilingualism is strongly preferred.

We provide services on a twenty-four hour, seven days a week basis.  Your hours will be on an as needed basis with no benefits and a salary of $11.50 an hour.
