Crear un Plan de Seguridad:

Sepa dónde puede obtener ayuda. Mantenga una lista de números telefónicos importantes (policía, línea de atención inmediata para violencia doméstica, hospital).

Planifique con sus hijos. Identifique un lugar seguro para ellos (habitación con candado, casa de un vecino). Hágales saber que el trabajo de ellos es el de mantenerse seguros; no el de protegerlo o protegerla a usted.

Decida con su vecino(a) una señal que usted puede utilizar cuando necesite ayuda.

Prepare un paquete de emergencia al cual puedatener acceso rapidamente (decida si puede dejarlo en la casa de un amigo(a) o vecino(a) de confianza.)

Incluya:

  • Un juego de llaves extras de su carro o de la casa
  • Dinero, tarjetas de comida (food stamps), chequera, tarjetas de crédito, recibos de pago
  • Certificados de nacimientos y otros documentos de identidad de sus hijo(a)s
  • Su licencia de conducir u otro documento de identidad con foto
  • Tarjeta de seguro social o carné de residencia (“greencard”)/permiso de trabajo
  • Tarjetas de seguro médico, medicinas para usted y sus hijo(a)s
  • Título de propiedad o contrato de renta de la casa o departamento
  • Órdenes y otros documentos emitidos por la corte
  • Ropa extra para usted y sus hijo(a)s

Decida cuál es el momento más seguro para irse. Sepa qué puertas, ventanas va a usar.
