Sarah’s Story

Sarah joined Women Against Abuse in September 2010 through a partnership program with the German peace and volunteer organization ARSP.

Founded in the aftermath of WWII, Action Reconciliation Service for Peace (ARSP) is committed to combating discrimination, racism and anti-Semitism and to confronting Germany’s Nazi past by establishing positive relationships with countries that suffered under Nazi Germany. ARSP places nearly 200 volunteers each year in twelve-month social service assignments in Eastern and Western Europe, Israel, and the U.S. Contributing to social peace in showing solidarity with marginalized groups is one of ARSP's principles. Therefore it only seems logical to work with the anti-domestic violence community as well. Sarah supports the work of Women Against Abuse as a Public Relations Associate and helps with organizing fundraising and awareness events throughout the year.
