Women Against Abuse celebrates 35 years of aiding victims of domestic violence in Philadelphia. To mark the occasion, Executive Director Jeannine Lisitski and her husband John K. Carlson will bike and run 35 miles from Vineland to Sea Isle, New Jersey on July 31st.

Philadelphia, PA – Councilman Bill Greenlee, City of Philadelphia Councilman-at-large, will present a resolution designating February “Teen Dating Violence Awareness Month” at the Thursday, January 28th City Council session at 10 a.m. The resolution marks the first time Philadelphia City Council will dedicate an entire month to awareness and prevention of teen dating violence. This far-reaching issue is gaining widespread recognition, as one in three teens reports experiencing physical abuse in a dating relationship.
