Thanks to the great advocacy work of our community, the Department of Public Welfare has successfully unfrozen the Domestic Violence and Homeless Assistance line items in the Governor’s budget freeze! This is great news for the programs we operate and the families in need that we serve.
Thank you for your consistent advocacy for victims of domestic violence.
But our work is not done yet! The Human Services Development Fund and County Child Welfare line items provide critical services for Women Against Abuse and other service providers in our community, and remain frozen!
Call the Governor’s office TODAY and let him know that these line items significantly impact our budget and our ability to serve victims of domestic violence.
