Women Against Abuse is proud of its collaborative work with community partners. Spurred by the high number of domestic homicides in 2009, WAA has been working with the Police Department and Philadelphia’s Domestic Violence Law Enforcement Committee on key strategies to improve the response to domestic abuse calls.
This Public Service Announcement, featuring WAA Executive Director Jeannine Lisitski and Police Commissioner Charles Ramsey, highlights the Philadelphia Domestic Violence Hotline as a resource for any individual with questions or concerns about domestic violence. Look out for this PSA on your local news or radio station throughout October, which is Domestic Violence Awareness Month!
The hotline offers free, anonymous and confidential counseling 24/7. Please call anytime at 1-866-723-3014.
