A fundraiser can be anything you want it to be. It can be a party, bakeoff, potluck, poetry reading, film screening, happy hour, lecture, group discussion, community meeting, and more!
Planning a fundraiser lets you get creative with friends while contributing to a meaningful cause and learning more about domestic violence in the Philadelphia community.
In the past, we’ve had student groups hold iPledge events, community members host dinner parties, and city organizations organize sports events, such as basketball tournaments.
Women Against Abuse cannot always guarantee that a staff member or trained educator will be available to attend, however we’d be more than happy to provide information on resources, handouts, hotline cards, signup sheets, brochures, WAA magnets, and other organizational materials. We can also help promote your event, if it is open to the public, on our social media sites, and post pictures to our website. We can also help facilitate the donation/gift collection process.
We are excited for your interest! A representative from Women Against Abuse will get back to you as soon as possible.
