Women Against Abuse Police Liaison Mike Gallagher receives Award!

On April 30, Women Against Abuse's Police Liaison, Mike Gallagher, received the Powerful Partner Award from Women's Way, which honors “trailblazers and change makers in the region and around the country” working on behalf of women and girls. We are so thrilled that Mike received this honor, and we're so proud of the work he does every day at Women Against Abuse. Bringing extensive experience as a former detective for the Philadelphia Police Department, Mike has worked closely to both improve Philadelphia's police response to domestic violence and Women Against Abuse's ongoing collaboration with the PPD, and he has also helped countless individual domestic violence victims get connected with Women Against Abuse's lifesaving services. Because of Mike Gallagher, both Women Against Abuse and the city's justice system are able to more effectively reach and serve those who experience violence in the home. Please join us in congratulating him on this remarkable achievement.
