WAA provides a variety of programs
and services at each of
its three sites:
The 24 Hour Emergency Shelter provides free services to women and children who are victims of domestic violence. Services include:
- Up to 60 days of shelter
- Case Management
- Group counseling
- Three meals a day
- Children's health assessments
- Emergency relocation funds (as available)
- Adult education and job readiness referrals
- After school and summer school programs
- On-site nursery
Sojourner House, WAA's transitional housing program, provides housing and supportive services to domestic violence victims. The program serves 12 families of women and children in one, two or three bedroom apartments for 18 to 24 months. Services include:
- Case Management
- Group Counseling

- Economic management education
- Parenting and life skills education
The Legal Center offers legal advocacy
and representation in domestic violence-related
matters including:
- Protection from abuse
- Child custody and child support
- Legal Options Counseling
- Immigration
- Safety planning
- Court accompaniment
- Services to individuals with disabilities
who have experienced domestic violence
- Services to women who have been accused
of lethally injuring their abusers
