S.A.F.E.R.™
Dating violence affects thousands of teens nationwide — and rates in Philadelphia are even higher than the national average (2009 Youth Risk Behavior Survey). Many young people experience physical, emotional, or verbal abuse from a partner, and patterns that start in adolescence can lead to more severe violence later on.
Women Against Abuse's S.A.F.E.R.™ curriculum empowers youth to recognize and respond to unhealthy relationship dynamics. Students learn to identify warning signs of abuse and find resources for themselves or their peers.
