IPV Affects Everyone

Intimate partner violence can affect everyone. While the dynamics and structure of intimate relationships can vary, abuse can occur in any relationship.

Relationship abuse can take many forms — physical, emotional, sexual, financial, or psychological — and its impact is always serious.

No matter the type of relationship, no one deserves to feel unsafe in their home or with their partner, especially not because of who they are. Survivors may face additional challenges when an abusive partner uses aspects of their identity, personal history, or circumstances as tools for control.
