About the Event

Dish It Up provides delicious culinary delights and a mission focused evening of fun for the more than 450 guests in celebration of the movement to end domestic violence. Dish It Up is the only fundraising event and food tasting competition in Philadelphia featuring all women Chefs. Dish It Up provides women leading the way in Philadelphia's culinary arts with an opportunity to showcase their skills - and all for a great cause. Join us and make a difference for people experiencing intimate partner violence!

The funds raised through Dish It Up support Women Against Abuse, Philadelphia’s only comprehensive domestic violence service provider. Throughout its 48+ year history, Women Against Abuse has been diligently working to expand access to life-saving services for survivors and their children. Women Against Abuse serves 10,000 people each year through its emergency safe havens, transitional and permanent supportive housing programs, legal aid, hotline counseling, community educational and training and advocacy!

I’ll never forget that moment when the judge asked, “Did he hit you?” I was standing in the courtroom, our 4-month old son sleeping in the baby carrier strapped to my chest. I didn’t know what to say. Everything else – the years of insults, the screaming in my face, the violence, the gaslighting, the drug abuse – was being overlooked.
