Legal Center Giving Circle

The Legal Center Giving Circle is a giving society of law firms and individuals who recognize the critical importance of Women Against Abuse’s legal work, and are committed to ensuring these free protections continue to be available for our community’s most vulnerable.

The funds donated through the Legal Center Giving Circle empower Women Against Abuse to provide legal advocacy and representation for survivors of intimate partner violence who are seeking Protection From Abuse Orders or custody of their children.

The Women Against Abuse Legal Center is staffed with a team of experienced attorneys who specialize in providing free representation to more than 3,500 men and women each year!

“I joined the giving Circle because WAA is doing important work, but they are also making smart decisions about how to stretch their resources, so that they can serve more women with limited dollars. That's the kind of organization that I want to support.” -Teresa Gillen

“One of the things that is remarkable about Women Against Abuse is how well they understand and consider the complex and comprehensive needs of victims of violence. Helping to be a voice or empowering victims to gain or regain their voice and advocate for their legal rights is so important for their well being and ability to move forward in their lives. The Women Against Abuse legal center enhances victim safety, saves lives, and assists many to successfully leave their abuser.”

-Sandy Sheller, Family Therapist President, The Sheller Family Foundation, Board Member, Women Against Abuse
