3 Ways to keep the pledge everyday

Once you’ve signed our pledge against violence at iPledgeWAA.org, how do you keep the pledge in your daily life? Here are 3 action steps you can do immediately:

I Pledge 3 Ways to Help Survivors

Looking for more ideas? Here are a few of our favorites!

  • If you encounter conversations or policies that reinforce victim-blaming or rape culture, call them out and correct misconceptions. No one deserves to be abused, and we can contribute to safer communities by holding those who behave abusively accountable.
  • Post domestic violence resources in your local grocery store, church, health clinics, library, and more. Include the Philadelphia Domestic Violence Hotline number (1-866-723-3014), or the number for the National Domestic Violence Hotline (1-800-799-7233).
  • Call AND email your local lawmakers and state representatives to tell them that domestic violence is an issue you care about. Urge them to protect continued funding for key emergency supports for survivors of domestic violence. (Need help finding your legislator? Our Take Action Center has you covered!)

Check out additional ways to keep the pledge against violence, including in your family, at your workplace, in your relationships, and more through our 3 Ways to Keep the Pledge resources below.
